Story Time on the Train

10.04.2013
When I heard about story time on the train at our local library this past summer, we immediately ordered tickets for a ride on a real steam engine. The event was sold out, and it didn't disappoint. The train picked us up at the Arthur Hufnagel Library in Glen Rock, whistle blowin', steam flowing from the smokestack. We rode to Hanover Junction and back, and our little ones loved seeing the sights along the way, hearing the click clack of the train, and getting their tickets punched by the conductor! One thing I would recommend is if you're bring an infant like we did, be prepared for a lot of noise. Not only is the train (obviously) very noisy, but the story is read over the speakers and is quite loud. Our babe was still young enough to sleep through it all, but for some infants it could be a bit much.

The next story time on the train is scheduled for October 10th. You can get more information by visiting buy tickets for this event and more upcoming events (like trick or treat on the train and Santa on the train) right here. Don't forget to check our calendar for more events like this!
